- White peony (Paeonia lactiflora) also known as Paeonia lactiflora, Bai Shao Yao, Peony root, and Chinese Peony. White Peony contains Paeoniflorin, paeonol, paeonin, albiflorin, triterpenoids, sitosterol. White peony is one of the oldest plants cultivated for its flowers alone, a practice going back to 2000 B.C.E. in China. It was brought to Japan by Buddhist monks from China, where it is still considered today to be a symbol of prosperity.
-Paeonol can ease pain;
-Paeonol is effecting on resist inflammation;
-Paeonol is used for antioxidant,antiallergy and antiviral;
-Paeonol has the function of antibiosis, inhibiting bacteria growth;
-Paeonol also can treat boils and detoxicate and lower blood pressure;
-Paeonol can clear away heat and cool blood; paeonol activates blood circulation to dissipate blood stasis.
